The non-conforming prototype 162 crashed during a test flight yesterday. The pilot jettisoned the aircraft and parachuted to safety. Whitenesses claimed to have heard a "Pop" and report seeing a shower of sparks as it went down.
A Cessna spokesperson said that the airframe is intact after its crash in to a wooded area.
