Innovations

Does anyone have any news on what innovations are on the derivative engine?
Will there be a fuel injected version in future and will we be able to get away from the ancient Magneto?
Peace is a single seater!

Looks like it's 25 lbs lighter, has even smaller cooling fins, dual slick mags, and carb. They have been shaving weight everywhere they can loose an ounce.

There have been a lot of inquires to Continental on using the O-200-D for other LSAs and experimentals and it looks like an injected version will be made for other platforms.

I'd like to know if it could be STCed for a Cessna 150

O-200 and Injection

I didn't interpret that interview as offering anything new except a modest diet.

Maybe Cirrus will actually apply some innovation. Cessna appears to be focused on
a 35 year old design, and winning on price and distribution. I expect the avionics to
be equally boring so as to not take any Garmin 600 based sales.

Is carb heat standard on this dinosaur of an engine?
